Warz is a game of zombie survival and keeping you on your toes from other players.

    Pros:
    1. Survival Shooter.
    2. Fun to play
    3. Global Inventory
    4. Do not lose your charecter on death( unless Hardcore)
    5. More Arcadish FPSER
    Cons:
    1. Very ,Very, Buggy
    2. HACKERS ARE JUST AS BAD AS DAYZ.
    3. Unrealisitc
    4. Missing advertised core systems. Missions, Guilds.
    5. Almost a carbon copy of DayZ.
    Afterthoughts:
This game was fun and interesting. As a former DayZ player I had high expections that were not met. Some of my major things: Hackers, Realism were not met ( you have to beat a zombie over the head like 12 times for it to die). Some core engine items were not as advertised. No missions, No guild pages.

I would not suggest this game to any of my friends for an immediate purchase; I would suggest they try it.

DayZ has a much better survival feel than WarZ and overall DayZ is much more polished.

Well, isn't WarZ still in Alpha or Beta build atm? And even more recently i've heard similar tales of it not even being polished as much as the mod (Granted the mod is a mod, and has been out for a long while, whereas the stand-alone is built from the ground up)

I'd like to see WarZ polished off and turned into that badass survival game that no one makes.

Might help them if make sure you're able to set up your own server, deal with your own hackers/community.. any server modding/settings ect..

I felt like I was playing a bad copy of DayZ and Dayz is only a Mod, WarZ is a standalone.

WarZ is lucky Dean is a cool guy, otherwise if he were anything like Steve Jobs, he'd sue the heck out of hammer point and drive them to the ground with just legal fee's.

DayZ only being a mod is a far better game.

If you're looking for badass survival game look at DayZ. WarZ has a micro-transaction store to pimp out your guy before starting. WarZ allows you to keep your finds after death, and share inventory among different characters. WarZ is targeted at a much more casual player.

Cash shop? Wasn't WarZ supposed to be retail?

And it's sad to hear them making it more casual. I liked the hardcore aspect of the DayZ mod, however I flippin hated how.. buggy the mod was. The zombies just kind of warp around sometimes.. unless they fixed that.

I had read some threads on their forums but all those threads are gone now. Here is a YT video that I quickly found showing the cash shop menus.

The zombie issue in DayZ came from the fact that they weren't really zombies. They were pigs with a zombie skin. Rocket did a lot of jerry rigging to ARMA2 to get the mod working. That's part of the reason it's being made standalone now. To allow it to be made from the ground up into something better. That and I'm sure he noticed the huge buzz around the mod and decided to make some money. He's said on many occasions that tackling the hack problems and then smoothing out the experience were priorities #1 and #2 respectively. His plan is to get the standalone to a degree that it can be played and then release an alpha at a low price point. At beta bringing the price up a bit and then topping out at full release. He said it'd be similar to the way Minecraft did it.

So where does "Doing it like Minecraft" include a cash shop? Like.. the general idea is either 1. You go Retail. 1 time payment with or without subscriptions, or you do a F2P Model with a cash shop..

Where do they get this idea that people want to pay a flat ammount for a game just to dump money on cash shop afterwards?

Also, isn't half of the point of it being SURVIVAL, that you have to FIND your gear? Not buy it from a magic shop from your menu and then roll out with it? And guessing with the whole "You bought this shit with real money" is where the non-looting the dead piece comes in... lame.

EDIT: Most of that armor gear looks like it was ripped from War Inc.

You're mixing the two up. My second paragraph is about DayZ. The first and video is about WarZ.

DayZ has no cash shop. The "like MC" thing is the tiered pricing model for when you buy it in alpha, beta, and release.

You're right on about WarZ ripping straight from WarInc. It's the same dev team and they reused pretty much everything to get WarZ out more quickly.
