The NoNonsenseGamers Lottery (Possibility)

GWJ (another community that I'm a part off) does a big donation drive yearly and until last year did drawings for all kinds of prizes. Shouldn't be a big issue, they just don't want anyone setting up gambling operations that the government themselves can't get in on. You know free country stuff and such.

 

My sister's boyfriend's mother is a bailiff. Anyhow, on this, the only way it can be construed as gambling, is that someone takes a cut. The question would be where any extra money from this raffle would go. Honestly, to put this blandly, if even a mild few people do the raffle, say 10 or so if that, then it is possible that this would completely cover teamspeak costs, and perhaps even cover costs to expand Teamspeak to cover our growing numbers in Planetside 2.

Now, if you guys are serious about erecting a golden statue in my honor, or giving me a triple christmas bonus, I will have to decline. In conclusion, NNG is technically considered a charity organization, for we do not actually produce a product. Using the money for the betterment of the organization shouldn't cause a problem.

I have altered the idea to be based off of donations exclusively. No drawings, but skill/fun based events or games which will have awards (SOE cards) for the victor. Races, battles, score days, some ideas I have coming. Anyways I am locking this thread.
