Sort of. Yes. Not long. Yes.

....You want more info than that? Ugh fine :p Bounty hunting can be done with a friend or friends, but there is no group mechanic yet and you can't share bounties, you could always take it in turns getting the killing shot though. You can own as many ships as you want and they get stored in whichever station you got out of them in. It doesn't take long at all before you can start making upgrades to your sidewinder and going after some more difficult targets, or you could upgrade to an eagle which is my basic ship preference, I've taken out Cobra's in my Eagle because they are only "mostly harmless" or another low rank.

As for mouse and keyboard I haven't had any problems :)

You can co-op bounty hunt, but currently it's a little challenging. The grouping function isn't fully implemented yet.

    You can own multiple ships.

It can take anywhere from 6-14 hours to acquire enough to purchase another ship, depending on what you do. Combat missions are usually pretty simple, assassinations are usually very challenging as the targets are usually top tier'd NPCs in the biggest ship currently available, and bounties are decently lucrative however it would take several of them. Unless you specifically target higher ranked pilots.

Yeah my days of time sink games are over, I'd love to play something like this but I just cant commit huge amounts of time a game like this would require

It's really only a time sink when you let it. I've been playing maybe 2-3 hours at a time the past week and it's been fine for me. almost 400,000 credits, i'm in a pretty excellent ship for the amount of time I've been playing, Class 3 C Rating Viper with 2 class 2 gimbaling pulse lasers, and 2 class 1 gimbaling multicannons. I average 100-180k credits every play session which is more than enough. Also the spread between players makes the "need for advancement to stay competitive" drive fade away. There are a shiiit ton of star systems. When I first got the game I binge played it for a weekend, traversed maybe 30 systems, met 1 player. Now i've traversed maybe 130 systems, spanning 200-300 light years, and in total I have seen maybe 7 players.

So really it's a pace yourself as you go game, but you could sink all of your time into it. However I don't find it completely necessary. It's no grind fest. You can get money pretty quickly once you know what you're doing.

Can NNG claim or build a space station? Can we make ourselves a home?

    No and No

it's not that kind of game. Or at least not yet. Maybe once they open the planets there will be things like that but no. Groups cannot own nor purchase space stations

Im trying to figure out the purpose of this game and I still cant.
Like I said before, I have watched plenty of streams and tried to get into the game and still cant figure out the purpose. Is it all about the spacetrucking?

The game will not be for everyone, but I think the reason space trucking is getting so much "air time" is because it is the most lucrative and safe way to make lots of cash in the game. It is also very likely the most boring. The game is a space sand box game, here's a ship, here's a mind-bendingly huge fucking map to dick around in, go do your thing.

You kinda have to play the game how ever you want to play it. If you want to truck fish and computer parts back and forth between two spacestations all day, go for it. If you want to spend hours jumping out to the far reaches of the galaxy to explore, scan and find new things, go for it (you can make money doing that too). If you want to jump between conflicts zones and play a hired gun, do it. if you want to be a pirate, steal shit and sell it on the black market or play the bounty hunter that goes after those pirates, have fun.

There is a ton of shit you can do in the game but really nothing to tell you what to do. Most spacestations have a bulletin board of shit that needs to get done around that station, may be go kill this dude or we need fish. That's about as much direction as you get from the game and you don't have to do any of that.
