    Realism and balance doesn't equal each other. I know. That's a good thing, otherwise you'd have to make a new character each time you die.

    However, it's time for people to realise that if they can't stand lock-on weapons, they got the wrong game. It was clear before the beta even launched that this was going to be a futuristic game. Now everyone is complaining about the later introduced Annihilator, because it locks on to almost everything. Why are all those people so surprised?

    I'm fine with people feeling the need to shoot me down with whatever means necessary, I'll get my revenge my way. I used to have a problem with snipers in older games, until I realized they are as much a part of the game as sub-machine guns and normal rifles were. It's just a different tactic. Every tactic can be countered however.

    If you can't handle being shot down, go by foot. Annihilators don't lock on to infantry. The anti-tactic for aircraft is lock-on rockets. The anti-tactic for lock-on rockets is infantry. If they zerg you with rockets, either zerg back or flank them. Hit them from every side, throw mines/grenades or if you don't like those tactics, snipe them. It isn't like everyone with an Annihilator is invincible (most often they aren't well hidden either) or something, so stop worrying/complaining about it.

    I don't care about scrub weapons, as long as those scrub weapons aren't an "I win" button, which they currently are. Suffice to say I have hardly played this game since GU2, and until air becomes viable again that's not really going to change.

    The issue is not people fielding a counter, the issue is that that counter is so hilariously easy to use that any small group can get a near guaranteed instagib on any vehicle within a gigantic radius.

    Heavy assault is the counter to infantry.

    Honestly Sel, Heavy Assaults do not impress me at all, as Light assault, I tear up enemy heavies, even if they have the sense to shield up.
    Most Heavies just stand there and take the shots, it makes it soooo damned easy to aim for thier heads, and drop em like a rock.

    My .02 on the buzz post is this. A lot makes sense, a lot doesn't. E.G. Scu for every base IMO is a great idea, but Instant 'Instant Action' is game breaking.

    Instant action with no cool down is dumb for one reason. Imagine entire platoons just hot dropping around the map instantly. "Welp, fights over, Everyone instant action in 10". Don't tell me that wouldn't happen.

    I will say this of BCP, It's really F%#@ing annoying how he praises one thing in the game and then once he sees what he's praising first hand at his own expense he makes a long post that everyone jerks off too. However, that's just how I feel and i know others feel differently. He's a hypocrite, racist asshole plain a simple, but this doesn't mean we need to troll him on forums when he posts. Personally, I just wish people would stop giving him attention because to me he is an infant.

    I personally think the second variety of instant action could work if it chose between all the on going fights on all the continents, so say there are 3 attack and 3 defend orders out it drops you to one of those 6, so great for an individual new guy, terrible for a platoon to rely upon. Obviously a squad leader could drop in, then the entire squad could instant action onto him, but that instant action should still have the long cool down.

    Sure a lot of them are bad players, but HA is meant to be the main counter to infantry since he's stronger than every other class at close range (except max obv), and LA only wins against him if they have some kind of advantage.

    Skill advantage being the major one, or having a noob tube or getting the first couple of shots.
