All Things SC Division

Right now most of it is all speculation, there is probably so much we are missing that the game can potentially evolve into. It really should be a lot of fun when the action really starts.

 

This is exactly what my org is planning to do with the few capital ships we have (apparently some of 'em were lucky to get themselves an Idris. @.@), and I've elected to put myself as an NPC to crew in one of those things while I'm off pew pewing other things in another sector of space.

I don't know if any of you are into the whole roleplaying side of things, but the crews were planning to integrate some RPing so we'd all have to make up names for the crew and stuff.

 

Speculation, most definitely. But just as it's not (really) too soon to begin ramping up recruitment threads, it's not (really) too early to start questioning and theorycrafting about them =P

If this game is even only as polished as some of the past MMO's I've played, and not beyond like what they're shooting for, it'll still be a ton of fun.

Yeah I almost hate the hangar, its awesome but I want to fly the damn things.

 

I'd like to bring up something that my main org is doing in SC right now.

While a lot of it is all speculation, of course.

Personally, I don't think a person joining NNG's SC division should be limited to one section alone. It's true that they can join that section ops and still be a part of someone's section. I'd like to think of each section as some sort of roster to draw people from.

This is what my org's doing. We do have each little outfit (sections? Sure.), and each person of our org is required to join one. I guess what I mean is that each outfit is required to draw their pool during ops but members can do whatever they want until required. Also some of these members can choose another outfit to be a part of which doesn't restrict them. But some of these outfit members restrict members from joining another, so that's a thing. However, they all do point to working for the benefit of the org as a whole.

I guess what I'm really saying is that you COULD join multiple sections and each section can draw the person if they really need to. It's also up to the section leaders to keep it limited to joining one at one time.

 

Yea that's pretty similar to what we've currently got going on right now, too.

We started out as a couple of friends who were in flight school together, and decided to start a specialist exploration group with a strong military component comprised of 16 Idrii and a host of other support craft. Xplor is quite unusual in that we abhor the sort of ego building and management-creep often found in organizations. We only recruit through private invites such as this one, because we are looking to build a team of intelligent individuals who can cope with all situations and think quickly on their feet. We are all of equal rank as Sergeant Brothers in arms, as in spirit. This principle of genuine mutual respect for each other is a key differentiator separating us from just about every other Star Citizen organization.

Our military strength advantage stems from the fact we have a disproportionately high ratio of battle assets per member, which means our assets are concentrated and overwhelming, and not spread thin and diluted amongst large numbers. As we have designed that fundamental asset to be a mobile platform at all times, Xplor will be able to offer its members critical deep space support on a 24/7 basis.
