Yea from the way it was worded they sent it to NNG as a whole as an invitation to become an affiliate.

My email address is listed under my profile credentials. I was just pointing out that they sent it to me personally, and not to me through my RSI account. That's why I had a curiosity as to whether they contacted NNG as a whole, or just me individually.

 

I have a feeling they emailed EVERYONE on NNG who had their email open. I don't have my email open to the public so they haven't emailed me about this.

I'm not planning to join that group anyway,

 

as a positive, I will make sure my email is private.

Still a 3/10 spam mail for the reasons I stated

I looked through my settings and found a box you can check to "Allow other members to see your email?", and I had mine unchecked. I wonder how it's viewable then? I wasn't able to locate any other privacy settings.

 

Might be a case to contact cloud imperium and ask them how to stop people from getting your details if you can't find a privacy option to stop it or the one in place doesn't work. Or maybe they got attacked by the heartbleed virus and people are using lists of published data.

 

I got the invite from them as well. I just declined with a simple message of " No Thank you" and left it at that.

Meh , no need making enemies before the games even close to release.

 

Everyone did receive an email, if it was available they sent it. I have already reported them to RSI, please just ignore them for now, we will see how they handle it.
