We lost a great friend today.

Nraged brings up a pretty good point. At first I thought, eh, the ps2 players left are a pretty closely knit group and they would never....then I remembered this is the internet. I wouldn't be at all surprised for some top tier cunts to show up to ruin an in game memorial. In a way, as sad as it is to say, I hope they decide to not go through with anything in game just to eliminate the possibility of things going terribly south.

 

Hm, I still have the game installed, but haven't updated in ages. I can't guarantee that I'll be there myself however due to other commitments.

As for NRaged's point... I heard the video got shared to her family and they loved it. While asshole-ish, the raiders in this particular video gave her the best tribute ever. They caused a lot of drama and made her the most memorable player ever. They showed that she actually existed beyond her screen name in real life to anyone reading an article about it in the world.

Perhaps that's the greatest gift someone could give me when I finally kick it to the curb. I want someone to remember me when I die. The worst thing that could happen to me when I die is no one can't even identify who I even am and I would have an unmarked grave. In any case, I'd rather have some publicity, even negative so that I would at least have a name attached to what I have done. It would be the greatest legacy I would've ever left. If no one cared, they wouldn't be there and I wouldn't have anything to show for it. Period.

So maybe it's a good thing that there's going to be some drama, but that's my two cents on it.

We do not have to stay for their ops, I am just going to try to be there for the memorial if I can get off of work. Which is a completely different situation. If I cannot make it I will ask someone else to take people along and I will appreciate your efforts in representing us in the Emerald community.

It's a really odd time to do it, I was hoping it would be normal times, like during the day or even saturday would have worked better for me, but i'm not here to complain about it. Make sure your clients are up to date before the event and see you there.

 

I'm almost for certain I won't be able to make it to the event but I'll see if I can at least join them for a night of ops to show support.
