Welp I was having that stupid lag issue again yesterday....
What fixes it, delete the user.ini file .... again

Seriously why do I need to delete a file the game automatically adds into my game folder on a regular basis???!!!!

    Don't mind me just venting.....

User.ini --- worst freaking file ever created

You gotta use a custom ini. I never had that issue with one. If you would like, I can send you my ini from when I used the 660ti I sold you.

False. The issues Ajax has been having are server bound and have nothing to do with the ini file. What is your internet download and upload speed Ajax?

speedtest.net is your friend. Also if you use Cable or DSL these are whats called Half-Duplex services(most ISPs) which means the cable/dsl modem can ONLY send or receive -- not both in parallel(at the same instance).

Which translates to... while gaming you will have a natural lag because youre client "schedules" the information being sent or received one after each other rather than at the same time. If someone sends an email, uploads a picture, etc... or even watches a youtube video your latency will be noticeably increased. Mainly because the outgoing information from your network takes precedence over the incoming information.

You may wonder why youtube can clog the network - its the nature of the connection for every "packet" of information you get from youtube there is a packet sent back saying it arrived okay and in order.

The only true full-duplex service is Fibre... like a FiOS or whatever you have in the US. Which means you can upload/download at the same time simultaneously and not effect each other. Ie. Ive got 80/50Mbps fibre at home with 5 people using it, torrents, gaming, videos, etc... and never suffer and latency issues because the service is Full Duplex.

I used to have Cable in our office/home and when 1 person would send a 5Mb email the entire office slowed down or watch a video.

could be the route your network is taking to their services. there may be an unstable router along the way which is overloaded.

PS2 is VEERY upload dependent. When I was at VT I had the same exact issues.

What I think is weird is that this JUST started happening to you. You played for MONTHS without this issue.

Once you do a speedtest.net test post the results here and we can have a better idea of what is going on.
