Training: Discussion

Hey, I'm interested! I'll keep an "eye peeled" for it. I'm mostly certed in Engineer, just basic A-A scythe, everything else the one penny enabler. I do have about 300 certs I could add to the Infiltrator. Only have the default firearm except my Pandora shotgun.

Just linking a discussion in regards to a more specific training aimed at stealth recon and manipulating our weak willed enemies.

 

I would love to get more aerial oriented training or coordination when possible. I learned so much last time with nobama. Plus, that air to air scythe group was a blasty until I nose dived into Phraggs lib.

 

Haha, it happens. Just gotta learn to watch both the map and the battlezone. Even then, it still happens. Don't sweat it.

 

As the title states, I'd be happy to show you guys several of my tricks, tactics, and other good stuff with this class.

Some of the stuff I'd cover:

• Fundamentals of Light Assault
  • Understanding the advantages/disadvantages of LA
  • Top mistakes LA players make
  • Misconceptions about LA
  • Your role as LA
  • The importance of pacing and timing
  • When and where to use Light assault.
  • When to NOT use light assault
• Base Offensive/defensive/evasive tactics and maneuvers for specific structures
  • Towers
  • Amp Stations
  • Tech Plants
  • Biolabs
  • Individual (specific, if we have time) outpost or facility Buildings
    I can do whichever outpost you'd like. I have several different strategies for most bases on Indar, Amerish, and Esamir.
• Combat Tactics
  • Picking your targets
  • Situation awareness
  • Room clearing / Engaging groups of people
  • Using your weapon to its full potential
  • Ammo conservation
  • Evasive maneuvers
    ie. When and how to bail the fuck out
  • Close-quarters maneuvers
    Things like:
    • how to counter bunny-hopping heavies,
    • How to counter shotgunners
    • Gaining the element of surprise indoors and in small spaces
• Certification & Loadouts
  • Situation-specific loadouts
  • Certification paths for those new to Light Assault
  • Weapons & Attachments

..And more! Let me know if you're interested so I can schedule a session sometime this weekend with you guys. If you miss out on the session, I'll be writing up a lot of the stuff I'll be covering. However, some of the good stuff, like maneuvers and outpost-specific strategies, won't be in the written version, so I encourage you to show up if this turns into a thing.

I think we need to train for capturing Moa tech plant, Seems like we've been repelled a few too many times in the past month. maybe go over attack paths from the bases, and bottlenecks to avoid?

 

I would like to learn stealth recon stuff sometime, and or light assault. Both look fun but dont seem to pay off with as much certs as my engie.

 

I can always stream the sessions so that players who miss can go back and watch it if they would like.
