Early access on steam for $14.99. Looks promising.

Multilayer has been confirmed as well as several game modes. Only a creative style at the moment.

What was that game that ILoveBuzzCut told us about that was so much like this one? It was like MineCraft in space where you built your own ships and fought space battles.

    star made?

It was fun but I remember that big ships got awkward unless they were a cube. So fancy ships couldn't be too big or they wouldn't turn well

If they made it so that you could build better big ships it would have been more fun.

I had kept revising my ship and eventually it was too bad at steering for fighting in. I was too slow turning so kept getting hit because I was big. So every battle I would eventually decimate all enemies and have to replace broken panels.

Smaller ships were faster but had too little health so could end up needing a lot of repairs after each battle as you couldn't build big guns or shield or use too many armour blocks without it becoming heavy.

Also sucked that it could be awkward re entering the ship after leaving it. I had to keep breaking blocks to get back in and then replace them.

Looks like the fine folks of space engineers put out a new patch. You can now land and or dock with other ships. So now you can park your little ship in your big ship and drive off with your big ship without the little ship turning into a ball of wreckage in the hanger bay. woo woo
