    My broader point is that while SOE spends time and resources developing another game (basically) the players of the game that the e-sport is designed to promote are left with a product that has in many ways diminished since launch. Each update brings worse performance. The servers themselves are laggier than they've been since the double xp fiasco months ago. Almost every new addition to the game is unbalanced and requires emergency patching to fix (dispite a test server that largely sits unused). I believe the resources being devoted to e-sports could be better spent, and I don't think this effort is going to have the desired affect on the player base.
