I am relatively new to NNG but I would like to put this idea out there. I believe that the Scythe could be more useful to some ops than the way it is most often used. From my understanding, the scythe can have the benefit of speed and maneuverability on most of the other aircraft. I find that when I am piloting the scythe, 9 out of 10 of the deaths I experience are from reavers or mosquitoes simply laying into the back of the scythe when Im providing air cover. I can never really seem to spin around or track them visually before dying. It might be because I am a bad pilot though. I have looked at some of the other amazing posts about air strategy provided by Disco and Nraged and I would like to maybe have something similar for the scythe. Are there any NNG members, preferably officers, who are Scythe pilots who can shout out some tips. It would be really awesome if anyone wanted to step up and host a scythe training session on a mostly empty continent! Would anyone else be down for that? In my mind I can see a team of maybe 6 or more scythes being able to swoop in with speed and rain dumbfire rockets at armor and infantry with speed and get out before there is a chance for retaliation. Any thoughts?
Not really a 'guide' but if you watch what I do, you could learn of some of these maneuvers yourself. I'm not claiming to be the best, but I can hold my own... Sometimes. You can use www.hddownloader.com to put it on your hard drive and slow it down with another player.
Wow Phragg the way youre flying and maneuvering is exactly what Im trying to be better at. Can I ask what you fitted your scythe with. That video is some serious business.
