While playing PS2, suddenly (at random times it seems) no one will be able to hear me on TS3 and I am no longer able to hear anyone on in-game comms. However I can still hear others talking on TS3 when the problem happens. I got a new headset (same make and brand as my last that I have used for months) and it is working perfectly. I tested both input and output and both are good. I uninstalled TS3 and reinstalled and everything is fine for about 24 hours. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times now. The problem happens when I play Planetside 2, while running Razer game booster and TS3. I am now testing Razer Game Booster to see if it is the problem. There is a newer version of my BIOS. Does anyone think that could be the cause? All other drivers are up to date as far as i can tell. I have on board RealTek HD audio (no sound card). I was thinking it was a driver problem but I don't really know where to start. Any ideas?
Does this problem only occur in Planet Side 2? I know PS2 has ingame voip, squad voip, proximity chat and possibly more. Combining that with a lot of chatter in TS and any other audio queries running through that onboard soundcard may be causing some overload? I know Realtek churns their drivers quite often. If they haven't released a new driver that you can update to, try rolling back to an older version. Start with the really simply things then slowly progress to more and more difficult troubleshooting.
