In this thread you can share your playstyles, share perk results
and discuss what you think is best for any given situation!
The following is found in the specific vehicle cert menu:
    • Passive slot
    • Utility slot
    • Performance slot
    • Defense slot
    • Main gun slot
    • Secondary gun slot
Since every soldier class has different cert trees, just copy your info from in-game and post it here!

    Magrider

    • Passive slot - acquisition timer 7 (allows me to have a tank up and running when I need it)
    • Utility slot - Magburner 4 (that boost has helped me get out of tricky situations MANY times)
    • Performance slot - Rival Combat chassis
    • Defense slot - Side armor (More armor for the same price IMO)
    • Main gun slot - Supernova VPC (More splash damage is pretty nice, considering the FPC for more armor penetration)
    • Secondary gun slot - Saron HRB (This thing is a must have I think)

    • Passive slot - Acquisition timer
As described, this reduces your timer for spawning another plane. It's generally a good idea to invest a few points in here as you will get shot down, it's just a matter of figuring out how often you do.
    • Utility slot - Decoy Flares
This is something that is more or less necessary with release. A lot of people are sporting AA rockets and even enemy aircraft have these. The first level costs 100 certs and gives you the ability to avoid one missile every 40 seconds, with the press of a button. Additionally, enemies can't lock on to you for five seconds.
    • Performance slot - Dogfighting frame
This gives a serious advantage for air combat, as well as makes it much easier to actually hit targets. It increases roll and yaw, and I believe pitch as well. The second level of the frame was well worth the cost, and I could out-maneuver people fairly simply with it.
    • Defensive slot - Composite Armour
There's more people on the ground, but what you're concerned about is MAXes and flak. Turrets are problematic in numbers, MAXes are trouble due to the small size. Another option would be stealth, as it would give you more leeway against missiles. The advantage of composite is that it renders you virtually immune to small-arms fire, and severely reduces flak damage.
    • Primary weapon - Air combat: Default/Hailstorm. Ground combat: Light PPA
If you have AA missiles, you might want to consider running the light PPA for considerable ground power. If you have rocket pods, either laser gun will do for air-to-air combat. The hailstorm edges out from the default gun due to the spread given by the gun as well as a slightly higher RoF. It is more lenient on accuracy, although you will have ammo issues and often will end up heading to resupply.
    • Secondary weapon - AA missiles or Rocket Pods
AA missiles gives you a serious advantage against other air targets. Generally you can kill one target with one missile and gunfire, though if you forgo gunfire, it will take two missiles to set an enemy airframe on fire.
Rocket pods are much better against ground targets, allowing you to shred virtually any target, although armoured targets require a direct hit to do any damage. Striking a MBT in the rear will destroy it in less than one clip. There is travel time, however.

If you are unfamiliar with flying a lib, for the love of god and all that is holy please keep your nose tilted up. The secondary gunner cant hit a damn thing in front of you when your pointed at the ground when you are flying around. It also helps a lot to fly in 3rd person view.

In my opinion, don't waste the certs on after burners. Go for one of the frames instead, either the high speed frame or the one that improves turning. Flares are also very important as well as composite armor. And as always, pack a zepher or dalton.

For libs I would suggest the High-G airframe. It's better than the bomber airframe for turning and such, plus does help you gain speed if you use your vertical thrust properly. Racer high speed isn't bad either, but High-G is the most balanced/helpful.

One thing I will miss about Vanu, even though I wasn't overly fond of their gear, is the MagBurner. I wish my tanks had some form of Nitro or something too :(

The Rival combat chasis helps a LOT with Sunders. At first in beta I thought the racer would be all you want, however the combat chasis makes it SO much easier to climb hills/larger mountain sides. (And helps you "get a grip" if you screw up)

Have you tried the Rival Chassis yet? I got 100 certs I am about to spend on my Chassis, just not sure which one would be better?
