i know i'm one of the "no mic" members, and thus i can't input during meetings, and hammering away in the chat feels disruptive, so i'm gonna do it here. feel free to move or delete or whatever's appropriate.

    1. i cannot fly. if you've seen Orm fly, he's a sodding surgeon compared to me. if they introduce a control scheme that lets you turn and pitch like the Magrider, then i may be fine. point being, since i don't mic, i opt never to clog up somebody's lib gun when there are people who can actually communicate with the pilot. can i gun? hell yes i can gun, with a zephyr anyway. Nraged once was kind enough to hover over a sundie, the result? 25 kills. my highest positive k/d was that few hours of play. Jam was asking everybody to at least get a zephyr or a dalton lib, so they can be part of the lib pushes. great idea. i love being in those, even though i get stuck with a shredder and the enemies never render. my point was, if i go ahead and get a zephyr, i can't fly, nor do i have a mic, so i'll have to get a pilot, a pilot who, will likely have a mic and expect some feedback, making me feel like a complete and utter nonce, and ore importantly leaving me wasting SC. any thoughts? would anybody be willing to fly mine?

    2. Biolab walkarounds. i've been doing this since beta, and it continues to work. whenever the fighting's died down a bit, walk the out ledges at least once. dunno how many times i've come across a enemy squad beacon just chillin' out behind one of the little section lips, or a random LA or infiltrator just hanging out like it's free bloody cocktail night at Papa Vanu's Biolab open house week.

    3. Biolab spawn door defence. again, i'm just expressing opinions that may help the platoon, but can we pretty pretty pretty please with hookers and beer and sprinkles on top sort the rules for this? i have no idea how many times i've been lined up with the door as a max or a turret, and had my sector clear, i was hitting the maxs when they came out an keeping infy suppressed all well and good. and then one of ours runs right into my fire, i hit him, which blocked the enemy max from a few more precious hits, and all in the name of c4'ing the fucking thing or trying to do the shield trick [which has been kinda fixed, i heard?] and i just. i feel like i can't even defend one sodding doorway when people refuse to mind the line of fire. when there's mobs of pubbies with us, that's perfectly understandable, they don't know what the balls to do, they just want to kill shit, and that's fine. but can we sort this for the group, at least? have proper lines of fire cleared with people? if you're a max and you're popping in and out of cover with your engie, and you see a guy with a turret close to you, maybe think about trying to go behind him, and complimenting his attack rather than just repeatedly strafing into his bullets to try and shoot the shield? see, the trick is, to actually not be aiming AT the door and pummelling away hoping a br noob will walk out into it, but get yourself right at the angle to aim just to the side of the doorway where people bolt out to, then back in. you guys know this, and i'm not trying to insult you, just pointing out things that could work better.
[edit: somebody mentioned TKing in the meeting, i paused the vid half way before i wrote this, but my point just compliments it, though.]
    righto, thanks. =]

    3. Yeah, I've just given up on this part of it. I've lost count of the ammount of times I've died because I've stopped shooting after a friendly just ran in front of me. Now I just keep shooting and aim for their head. Figure if I get them out of the way the non herpy derps have a better chance of actually doing something useful. And lets be honest, we have some pretty good players in this outfit, right?
Please note I am NOT on purpose TKing. I'm just not getting killed myself to prevent it. :)
