NNG War Thunder Division!

I have the honor to announce the creation of the NNG War Thunder Division!​

​

While we at NNG have always encouraged our members to have fun and show their love for NNG (by using the NNG tag) in any game we play, War Thunder makes only the 3rd game to achieve full Division status!​

​

I will be heading up this new division, as I've been playing the game for months, am already a member of the staff, and have been working towards the goal of gaining division status for some time now. As of now, I see no need to appoint any officers. But as our player base grows and/or functions are added to the game that would make this a necessity, the Community Leaders and myself will take the appropriate steps to create and fill such positions.​

As to recruitment, NNG has never been about building a zerg army or gaining members simply for the sake of being big. Up till now, recruitment has only been open to Battlefield and Planet Side players. We will now have a 3rd avenue for gaining new members, but as stated above, we will be as selective as we always have. Only those that get along well with the group will gain membership status, and as always, we look for quality of character over in game skill. In the coming days I will post about our division in the Squadron section of the War Thunder forums. But I see us gaining most of our members by befriending those we meet in game and referring them to our forums for an app drop.​

For those of you that are already members of our community, be it BF or PS2, if you decide to give War Thunder a try, you are free to join the squadron at your leisure. We are building a wealth of info on the game in the War Thunder section of our forums, and I'm sure anyone that plays the game would be more then willing to handle any questions you may have about the game. Most of us are also cool with bringing out our lower level planes to squad up with new guys. While the game is fun on your own, it really shines with solid squad play!​

Also of note: While War Thunder is a free to play game, in this newest patch that came out, they have introduced a referral program. If you register your account through this system, YOU will be granted a gift of 50 Golden Eagles (the in game currency that one pays real world money to get), and as you progress in the game your referrer gains awards as well. GhostSheets already has plans in the works for a War Thunder Group night. As time goes on, and as we learn the in & outs of the new Squadron system in game, I will be setting up events/scrims to heighten the fun and foster a greater sense of community.​

I look forward to seeing this new Division grow, and am proud to play with all of you that have helped this come about!​

I suppose I should also say to watch for us to be adding all the 'perks' (app, forum badge & so on) for the WT Division in the coming days. Will take a bit of work to get everything in order, but we're on it

A note about joining the division for those already an NNG member:

I can not speak for the other divisions, but if you are already a member of the NNG community, be it BF or PS2, you do not have to submit an app to join the War Thunder Division. In my eyes, once you are accepted into the community, you are free to bare the NNG tag in all games you play.

Once you have joined the in game NNG Squadron, I will add you to the War Thunder user group here on the forums.
