Interesting, but I wonder what final cost is.

    The body I'm assuming is a JG G36c which is about $150 : http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_672_701&products_id=38324

The arduino board is probably about $20-30. http://store.arduino.cc/ww/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11_12&products_id=245

But hey might've just opted for a cheap board with an arduino compatible chip.

Then with assembly and other parts you would be looking at a 200$+ package if I had to guess.

    finally m4 mag conversion, $10-15.

That's assuming they can't find another market than airsoft to buy 1:1 scale bodies in bulk and that they can't arrange for purchasing just empty bodies and have to buy a whole aeg.

Reminds me of that sniping arcade game with the mini screen in the scope.

So probably about a 20% markup above components cost, not bad. Hopefully in a few years when I got a job I'll be able to buy one and try it out. Would make me wonder though if people would be able to mod their's for faster performance or if that would be considered hacking.
