    lol

Made some vids of me playing some of my original material last night. No, none of the songs are complete because I dont have a vocalist to work with. Yes, I play METAL music, so it's not for everyone. I wrote recorded all the parts myself, with the exception of the drums, of witch I used a drum machine program I have.

God dude I can already hear lyrics and a whaling chorus in my head for Sane. Very catchy and I love the pace of it. I'm not a growler but I'd love to take a shot at throwing clean vocals over it just to see what it sounds like.

    Loving all of it.

What are you using for amp and effects modeling?

Also, When's When has a distinct middle eastern, almost scarab type sounds to it. Nile goes for sounds from that region and I really dig it. It's very powerful and menacing sounding. I picture the Persian leader Xerxes being escorted in by the slaves in 300 when I listen to it.

I currently use Cubase5, with the plug-ins Amplitude3 for all guitar/bass tones & effects, and an assortment of drum programs put out by toontrack.

I am still very noob with Cubase, and my mixing skills are lacking. But I'm in love with the line of Amplitude products. I started out using Amplitude Metal, but as I said, now use Amplitude 3. It models all the big name amps out there from Marshal to Messa, to Peavy. It also has dozens & dozens of popular & obscure pedals emulated.

I also use Cubase 5. I love it. Check out Guitar Rig. It has anything you could ever dream up for amp, mic, and effects including pedals galore!

And I also use toon track. Their stuff is the best. Seems like we are running very similar setups.

I have no desire to stray from Amplitude.

You are MORE then welcome to put some vokills to any of my stuff man. I'd love to hear what you'd come up with. And also, none of the tracks have a set arrangement. I only take them so far without lyricks. I feel the words can help tell a song where it needs to go next, so without that I dont write 'songs' so much as a collection of riffs.

And it's soooo good too. You guys know I'm into the 'step right now, but I grew up listening to Satriani, Page, Plant, BTO, Zappa, Hendrix, Pantera (R.I.P. DimeBag) - all that good shit. I have a wide range of musical interest, and yours is definitely one of them. Good stuff man, MOAR!
