How do we fix this?

We need to not get to ahead of our selves on putting the bulk of the blame on members.

For example, Had I been within this platoon not in TS I for sure would have been off picking daisy's as i don't use in-game com's. However on that note if i hear a platoon leader go "everyone pull A" or" Everyone Do Y" I will intentionally disobey this. Why? Because if 48 people pull a lib, i know half will die to each other and the others will be lucky to make it to the objective.

Now I am being super critical here with my example and they have no basis or relation to anyone leading OUR platoons. Just as a player myself I can confidently say that in any given situation it may require 5 doing X to counter 10 doing Y for the platoon. When those 10 die to our X,We should have 2 in Z to beat there B which 3-4 will probably pull trying to stop the 5 X's. This brings us to a nice complimenting Balance of Rock->Paper-> Scissors- > Rock not to mention complete control of the battle.

Members of a Platoon or squad need to have equal faith and confidence in a Leaders orders for them to even think of following them. Yes Outfit tags would hopefully imply that they would follow the leadership but there have been many times in previous games I have seen many players who would rather listen to someone outside of there guild, because they have more faith in that persons ability.

If you order me to fulfill a role and it is not Active, Challenging, or engaging for me then I wont want to do it again. This over time will quickly spiral into players not doing what is needed of them thus resulting in poor performance of the group and a otherwise shitty experience of play driving more away and thus adding to this crippling cycle.

Not to mention for someone like me who can only play for a hour or 2 a night and budgets that around doing things within the house. It would benefit me greatly to know that if on a Tuesday i want to Run when i play and not walk that NNG will do go 110% from 8-10 (example) so i should plan to meet up then. If i wanted to walk I could hop on before that get a bit of solo in and do my cooking/laundry or what have you.

Most of our issue I feel come from Misplaced expectations, and Miscommunication on top of a few bad apples.

 

I don't agree with everything Krunk is saying but I know when a max crash is called I show up as an engi. I have a walmart max (exception I have a 2nd Burster) but a fully certed Engi. I am MUCH better supporting the 20 maxes that should show up than making it 20.5 in my opinion.
