    Hi guys, Free2Noob here.

I know that I've just joined your community but I'm telling you, these crashes are getting annoying. Tonight I tried to log in and play with you during the nightly ops and I crashed almost once every minute until I decided to give up.

I suppose I just want to give you a heads up that I'm going probably going to be playing Planetside 2 a lot less just because of this. I'll probably try to log in once per day, but if these crashes continue then I might have to give SOE the cold shoulder until they fix it.

In the mean time, I hope I can play some other games with you guys!

    Thanks for understanding!

Sorry man! more than a few guys around here had the same problem. I hate to say it, but I think the largest fix to the problem is computer upgrading, but its also the most expensive.
Here are the free things you can do:

1 search our forums for others with this problem (Hint: Phado)
2 search our forums for performance boosting tips
3 download Razer game Booster (Free)
4 download LargeAddAware (Free) ((its not Adware, its a good program especially if you use AMD))
5 Set your .ini to stone age settings http://nononsensegamers.com/forums/threads/useroptions-ini.2397/#post-26043 (Phado I love you for this!) ((Don't tell my wife!))

Thats a start... once you have done that we will talk about your computer,
1 virus removal, spam removal, disc defrag, driver updates....that sort of thing...
2 when thats done, we can work on your hardware and your budget.

Planetside is a big Flippen game...but its a tamable beast when you use your head...or your wallet....or both.

Sorry man, I know its frustrating as hell. The only other thing besides what Sarge recommended is make sure all non-essential background programs are not running while playing, Razer game booster helps a whole lot as well. With the recent patch last night was the first time I didn't crash when I logged out for the first time in weeks.

Its not the game, its your PC dude. Have that checked out first. If everything is working as intended, re-install the game.

Thanks for the replies guys! I am running an i7 4770k at 4 ghz and a GTX 770 at stock. I'll post GPUZ and CPUZ later today, but I'm fairly certain that my hardware isn't the problem. Unless Planetside 2 isn't optimized for the latest hardware on the market. I downloaded Razer game booster, but it was causing my other games to crash, so I removed it after I couldn't find the problem.

I'll definitely look into the forums for some solutions as your suggestion. Still, it's pretty sad that people have to go into the files themselves and download 3rd party programs just to make the game work as it is supposed to. SOE really needs to get on the ball, but I suppose I've beat that dead horse long enough =P

That's very weird, you definitely are having some sort of hardware issue I think.
I run an I7 - 3.5ghz and an ATi 7570 HD card (its a POS, yours is much, much better) run my settings on low until I get a better vid card, and I rarely crash unless I alt+tab out of the game. Run tests on your memory, and possibly reseat them in your case for starters. Make sure your heat Sync is seated properly on your processor, you may be overheating causing the crash as well. Check all your drivers, make sure they are up to date, and even do a diagnostic on your PS2 files, which you will find when you initially launch the game.

    Hope this helps

Here are some screenshots. I have a H100i Corsair water cooler, and leave it open on my second monitor whenever I'm playing games. My temps never go above 45 Degrees, so I don't believe my computer is over heating. I re-seated my memory inside my case and ran a test, and it showed that all of them were working at 1866, so memory should be fine. I checked all of my drivers, played around with my settings, re-downloaded razor game booster, and verified my game cache several times. I even re-downloaded the game. Still crashing. I'm 90% sure that my computer is not the problem. Planetside 2 is the only game or program for that matter that I've had trouble with.

Any crash report info? Do you use GeForce Experience?

Uninstall and reinstall PS2 and change your .ini file. I wouldn't use GeForce Experience because it just made my game worse than my previous custom .ini file. I will PM you with my .ini and that should work for you, if not I don't know what could be the problem.
