My current rig just does not push the frames I need to play

i upgraded my computer for ps2 too

sadly, my old rig gets better performance than my new one

    i went from
    amd phenom 2 x4 940 BE @3ghz
    nvidia gt220
    4gb mushkin ddr2 800 ram
    500w generic psu

    to
    intel i5 3570k oc'd to 4.5 ghz
    nvidia gtx 650

i've done everything i know how to do to squeeze performance into ps2, i dont know if im doing somethign wrong, but yea, my old amd machine got way better FPS than my new one

    My setup is as follows
    i5 3570k at 3.4 ghz overclocked to 4.2 ghz
    16GBS Patriot Intel Exreme RAM
Evga GTX 660 Ti Superclocked overclocked to 1201 MHZ and memory clock increased by 200 MHZ

I get 70+ frames at WG
40 - 60 FPS in the field with not much going on
Lately I dip into the 30's FPS range when in a big battle and Im not too happy about that. Ive gotten into the habit of running it at medium to stay in the 100 + FPS range. Doesnt make much sense because BF3 runs at 60-70 FPS on ultra settings at all times!

Your frames are higher in BF3 because it is GPU intensive whereas PS2 is GPU intensive.

Kowlefe, did you mean to say that PS2 is more CPU intensive? I have noticed that when running PS2 that my GPU load utilization always sits around 50 percent, using only half of the resources and/or power that my GPU has. When I get 60 plus frames, my GPU load is at 98 percent. I cant figure out why and when PS2 stops placing a workload on my GPU.
