CQ admin?

I see what Fearwater is saying because I've encountered similar situations. Claymores used to be a defensive weapon that Recon would use to protect their sniping encampment (in BF2 that is). Now, Support, the most out front, in the middle of the battle class, is placing them all up in areas where soldiers don't have to expect to screen for them. Which is fine I guess.

My problem is when you factor claymores and c4 into Close Quarters. The pace is so fast and the action so intense that players are concerned with checking every direction for enemies in a frantic trigger happy state. Placing claymores around corners is a guaranteed kill because no one has time to check that shit. No one has time to look at the ground and peak behind shrubs.

That's my issue with it. BF3 has effectively removed all classes from Close Quarters The action is so crammed into a small space that bullet drop, spotting and rate or fire have become almost completely redundant. It's all about who pulls the trigger first. So now everyone is in the mindset that this is a gun on gun type Battle. Hell you close your eyes, rotate your character 720 degrees, fire a smaw and you'd probably get a kill lol.

Bringing claymores and c4, things that are systematically and intentionally removed by enemy soldiers, into a fast paced game like CQ seems silly. And people are exploiting taking advantage of that.
