Just letting you guys know that I'll be inactive on the server until I can get my hands on a Quad-core CPU (in a month or so I hope). I will still be active on the forums/procon. The problem: I'm getting HORRIBLE fps drops and I blame it on my duo-core CPU, and it has only been getting worse lately. I've done everything, I have been browsing forums and reading up user.cfg/ingame setting tweaks since october. I've tried multiple GPU drivers, clocking, de-clocking my gpu and cpu, repaired/reinstalled the game and now I'm left with no other options. I even cleaned out dust and shit from my comp and it only got WORSE./poop Anyone got any ideas? Edit: Other games are working fine on max settings (skyrim, crysis 2 etc)
A fresh windows format and a BF3 re-install would probably make things right, but that's such a hassle.
One of my friends was having your same problem, as soon as he got a quad core he instantly started getting 70+ fps.
SUCK IT UP! I've had horrible fps from the beginning and I still play. I'm on a dual 3.1Ghz Athlon and it can't feed the video fast enough. But I'll kick your little Scandinavian butt all over the place!
lol I have been doing that since release, but it has come to a point where I no longer get any joy out of playing/poop
