So, I watched a video of a very effective anti-infantry/armor reaver pilot, and it got me thinking about my next oddball design. The idea would be to modify his options to best fit in with the Scythe variant of his choices were. Scythe Upgrades Primary - Light PPA Utility - Scout Radar IV - 200 meters Defense - Composite Armor IV Performance - Dogfighting Chassis III
He uses dog fighting to let him aim easier by increasing his rutter sensitivity. Also he uses stealth over composite so the units on the grown wont see him as he does them with the scout radar. Also you may want to hold until the already announced air shotgun revamp for the 3 factions to "bring them more in line" as in buff the VS/TR ones.
I fly my Scythe with racer, light ppa, auto repair, rocket pods and flares. Works really well vs infantry and the best thing about the racer is an ability to GTFO fast and to outrun enemy ESFs when they start chasing me. Aiming is not an issue at all so I dont really have the need for high G, no need for the radar either since I got NV and I can simply see where the enemy infantry is. Composite armor is nice but ever since they buffed the auto repair, I dont even have to land until I run out of ammo. My uptime has gone through the roof and since I move fast, I dont really take much damage to begin with. This set up works for me and I enjoy it a lot, some people may enjoy other things. You dont have to copy others when ur trying to spec ur aircraft but rather see what works for you and what you like best. This is what I really like about PS2 when it comes down to certing out the vehicles. There is no wrong way to do it, just figure out what you like and go with it.
You may think Im crazy, but to fight ESFs I do do this. Ditch the secondary weapon entirely. Roll with the afterburner tank, speed chasis, and maxed out turbo laser. You get on them fast and outrun them when they try to turn on you. Plus with the extra afterburner you reverse for longer and can easily get above them.
