    This is not a QQ thread.
    As of late, especially after the patch, it seems like AA is totally out of control. I'm all for balance of things between the air and ground but at this point G2A is totally OP.
    In any game that's got aircraft, air should always have the upper hand unless the ground and A2A does something about it. Over the past dew days I have noticed that there is a lot less people flying. Scythes no longer have to escort the Liberators becuase their uptime has been reduced as well. 2-3 hits from any G2A missles and you're done. 1.5 sec lock on timer for stingers makes Libs totally useless.
    What I'm trying to say is that with all these buffs to G2A, they have promoted the teamwork, which is great. Now if you want to bomb, you have to come with few gunships as oppose to one or two. Will your Lib be the first one to go down? Thats a big May Be, but others will follow shortly after.
    Last night we were trying to bomb with Jax and Drako but we have spent more time repairing than actually flying and I'm not even talking about getting kills even tho we did get a few. With 3 people in a Lib, all looking different directions, we were not able to even see where the missles were coming from.
    I can feel the pain of ground troops and vehicles when they're getting bombed and can not do anything about it, I've been on that end plenty of times.
    There are burster MAXes and Skyguards in this game but people dont like to use Skyguards and frankly, I dont blame them. You dont really get many kills with SG and you're nothing but an escort, but when the enemy pulls up with 2 or 3 of them to the front lines, our air cant even breath.
    I dont know if I'm right or wrong by pointing this out, but in my opinion in an FPS game, you should be able to actually SHOOT things. Aim and shoot. That takes skill. IMO lock on =/= skill, my 4 year old son can do it and he actually has. He was very excited to shoot down a Reaver lol I told him that once that square stop blinking and becomes solid, push the left mouse button and he did, watched the missle fly and than there was a BOOM!
    Every single weapon in this game requires aim other than the lock on missles. As a pilot, dodging stingers requires skill, using flares takes skill too since it a big judgement call.
    I think that the lock on time should go back to where it was, for stingers anyways. Its great that SOE has sold a lot of Annihilators and they have made some money but it came at a price of people not wanting to fly anymore.

    It was horrible, we would go up, take 2 insta hits, I would look and half the planes health was gone... circle around land repair then repeat... It looks like SOE is pushing us to fly in air fleets instead of individual planes here and there. The only way anything is going to get done by the air now is if a whole squad of Libs flies in. They should've put a lock on range of 150m to the Annihilators, that way Air and Armor have somewhat of a chance. Right now both ge creamed by and Annihilator squads

    I have actually been getting a lot better at flying scythe despite the recent G2A bullshit. However I'm not a giant floating target and doing hit and runs on groups of enemy's seems to work a lot better than the traditional "Float there until you see something move then blow it up" type of combat.

    Lib pilots never float in the air, the ones that do get shot down really fast. The Schytes A2G/Rocket pods are totally useless at this point too.
    Try flowing within range of hitting the ground targets and you will get raped in an instant. Not to mention that burster MAX can kill an ESF in a matter of seconds. Scythe rocket pods are the weakest ones in a game too.

    I have learned that lesson some time ago. Problem is you see A LOT of ESF and lib pilots just kinda mill around combat zones. Well at least they did, now they just get blown up. :laugh:

    I tend to treat the scythe like helicopter more than a strike fighter. Seems to work very well for me so far. I beg to differ about the A2G Rocket pods. However, they do need to pack a bit more punch and have a bigger AOE.

    I noticed if you pop flares while they are locking on that it will break the lock but you also have to use terrain to your advantage

    I have a hell of a time trying to get proficient at flying a Sythe. I've practiced in areas with no enemies, upgraded my air frame to lvl 3 dog fighting and lvl 1 speed and still I never last more than a few minutes before getting blown out of the sky. Hardly if ever I know where the shots are coming from as I cant tell ground fire from an enemy ESF. I find myself only using my Sythe now to get back into the action. And I flew a Reaver on the NC till lvl 20 and the Sythe is waaaaaaay easier to fly
