12 months ago the game was released and since than it has gone through lots and lots of changes. Some were better, some worse but look at the game now. It looks FUCKING AWESOME! Ever since the last patch, the game hasn't crashed on me yet, everything looks great. The new bases, the skins on my vehicles, my soldier's gear and stuff like that. The game does have its flows but which game doesn't? It will never be perfect. Those who have quit the game and said that the dev team doesn't care, said that they suck and that they have turned the game into a cash cow are totally wrong. The game needs to generate income other wise we will not have a game to play. I have bought the Alpha squad back in Beta without even looking at what was in it. Spent another $50 on triple cash right before the release and blew most of that SC on shit I don't even use but I did it because I wanted to support the game and contribute what I could. The Devs are doing an amazing job and I'm pretty sure that they will continue to do so. There is a lot more stuff that's coming our way. Hossin for one, than the MLG/Nexus, these changes will be huge for the game and its population. Last night during prime time I wasn't even able to get on Mattherson. Sat at the loafing screen for like 20 minutes with no luck until some people crashed everywhere throughout the game What does that tell you? When people are given reasons to play, they will play. For many PS2 is like soccer since its F2P. They can come back to it at any time which is great. There is no gear gap that you would normally see in RPGs. Get in the game and start killing shit. By the time you're rank 20, you have at least one class with decent gear/upgrades. The game is not Pay-to-Win either. We have plenty of members who don't have a sub and yet still killing shit and have good KDRs. Buying Station Cash kind of speeds up the process but doesn't make you stronger or better than the guy next to you. After all, the game is skill based. Your skill as a player and skill as a SL or PL. One last thing, I would like to thank Jaamaw personally for doing an amazing job as a Leader of our outfit and building such a strong force from scratch.
Only reason I play this is to gun for nraged. But seriously. This game is fun to come back to. I almost away spend some cash when x3 SC days pop up. I had almost 20k SC at one point.
I'm just happy that I have consistent frames, so I can actually damn gun for once. Also, I run into a lot of dumb people. Lots of them. It's pretty sad. :/
It's actually unplayable now for me ... where a month ago I didn't understand what problems you guys were discussing as problems now, I can't get close to a 48 v 48 with out lagging so bad that I will stop and watch 5 minutes of playtime unfold before my very eyes in the span of 10 seconds. I'm still trying everything I can.. but although I can code with the best of them.. hardware.. not my strong suit ... I do agree that the game looks absolutely beautiful... and when I "can" play in small bursts I do have so much fun with this crew...
Are you still lagging with the graphics turned down? You can lower render quality a bit to get some extra fps too.
Happy Belated Anniversary! I noticed the game turned one year old last week and I just wanted to drop by and say thanks for the memories. I spent a lot of time (stats says 868 hours + the beta) tooling around Auraxis with you fine folks and always had a blast. I don't so much miss the game, but I really miss the community. Might even have to re-install here soon once real life calms down. New job is just killing my free time right now. Anyway guys, keep fighting the good fight, and who know's I might see you again sometime soon.
