Built my rig back in the old days of the 1156 chipset, behind by three gens at this point, running an i3 540, locked to 3.6GHZ dual core, but by god can I make things run. Just to put this in perspective I played WOW on an old as balls sony Vaio with integrated graphics, 2 gbs of ram (maxed) and running ubuntu. I made that bitch run at a smooth 30 fps. Sadly said laptop melted, a power surge through a "small" power hack made the motherboard blow, the hard drive complete breakdown and the LCD LCDS breaking. As a result I now have a second and tertiary monitor running from bits of said laptop and a custom PCD or two. Come september I'm upgrading, an I7 2011 chip and quad crosffire with 6 monitors doing eyefinity with the vast majoriy of parts coming from salvage.
