Well, it IS called an 'anti-tank' weapon, yet it barely works on infantry and barely does any damage to the REAR of a tank. Maybe not take on a tank head on, but at least be able to put a big dent in it over a suitable amount of time. Seems like VS always gets shafted when it comes to faction-specific weapons.

i think we're getting better, though. i can already forsee the rivers of crimson butt trauma being squelched into the dev's earholes by legions of whinging air-tards who've been utterly obliterated in 0.2 seconds by squads of simultaneous Lancer blasts.

So, for those who don't know what plasma is, here is the crash course:

Matter has 3 states: solid, liquid and gas. Right? NO!
There actually is a fourth state: plasma. (Actually, there are 2-3 more, the Boson-Einsteincondensate, the triplepoint (which is actually a combination of the 3 common known states, just more complex) and perhaps even quark-gluon plasma. That's only, if we don't count liquid crystals and supercritical fluids as a state).

So, what the !@#$ is plasma? Back to basics, it's just ionized gas. So it's a variation of gas? Yes and no. The fun of plasma is it's actually a gas with a lot loose electrons (the Sun is actually one big ball of plasma). It conducts electricity and can be influenced by magnetism. The latter makes it suitable to be converged towards the enemy and dealing massive damage.

We are Vanu (sovereignty) and posses the power of (Vanu?) science. Why would we use a weapon we knew would not work?

(Btw, what are the grammatical rules for differentiating between the VS vanu and the alien vanu?)

I'm pretty sure with the levels of energy required to float a tank accelerating a photon into someone to do damage would be a simple matter, christ, with that power level you could jack up a microwave to melt people through walls. If we continue down this route though we're gonna go way into pseudo fictional science, it'll get really silly.

    To quote xkcd:

The best thing about science is you can keep adding zeros to the end AND NO ONE CAN STOP YOU.
