    There are a lot of issues if you want to use lasers as a death-ray-weapon, especially within an atmosphere, so maybe it's just not cost-efficient from a fluff/realistic standpoint.

    What we really need are VS specific bouncy rounds for the MAX. You fire something the size of a Comet round, and it instead bounces off the next five or so surfaces, going through players, and causing about 20% damage per hit.

    well, it would have to be purple, with cute wee head-tendrils. and we'd have to name it Vlubber, and Orm would then be known as the our official Vlubbermaster, releasing his bouncy progeny onto the battlefield via Galaxy.
