for ages now, we've had to go by voice only to know who's talking in TS, because of the 64 bit client for PS2. recently i've gotten Overworlf's overlay plugin for TS by doing the following: download the file i'm going to link, to your C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\Overwolf folder. don't worry, it';s just a list of .exe's Overwolf will recognise, planetside2_x64 currently not one of them. you can get this file from Overwolf's official site, but you have to sign up. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pctndvixrasl5kq/GamesList.9932503.xml [click Download at the top right.] if that doesn't work, here's the forum link http://forums.overwolf.com/index.php?/topic/2364-overwolf-doesnt-detect-64bit-planetside-2/?p=10056 get the new TS 64 bit client here http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads the reason this is number two is, IT WILL WIPE YOUR BOOKMARKS, AND TAGS. i don't know if just the Overwolf fix will work, so TRY THAT FIRST. this may work with over games, but the xml file seems to be just altered for PS2, not sure. something else to note is, Overwolf will probably release a 64 bit client "soon". i guess i'm just used to SOE's idea of soon, and would rather not wait. whether the stock TS overlay works, i have no idea. side note: for the love of god, can we please change the idle limit on the TS server? us no mic'ers have to relog in after every hour. not a big deal, but it's annoying.
You can hit your Push to Talk key/button to refresh your idle timer in TS, even if you don't have a mic. Still mildly inconvenient, but less so than having to alt-tab and reconnect.
What do you use for your second monitor? I don't really have the desk space for another 23" monitor to the side, unless I move my main one off center and I don't want that. I could get a monitor that size that swivels into portrait mode or get one of those cheap 5x4 ones but I don't think they make them anymore.
I use two 24 inch monitors. My main is an ASUS VG24QE 144hz monitor. My second is a Dell something or other...I put the second one at an angle to the right of my main. I usually that to display teamspeak, steam chats, music, TV while gaming, etc. Here is a pic i had taken a while back... pic.twitter.com/DrsOC9TRNc
Also the Asus monitor is fucking amazing. A bit pricey (or at least it was when I got it but...damn does it look nice).
The only problem I have with Overwolf is that it just doesn't work...period, freezes then crashes on startup..I don't know what happened because it was running great until a few months ago.
