    For those that are allergic to links, the basic point is that the U.S. is granting work visas for those coming into the states to compete in eSports / professional gaming. I wasn't under the impression that pro gaming is getting to be that popular?

    I believe that professional gamers have been declared to be on the same level as professional athletes-after all, they both make a living in widely-viewed competition. From the viewpoint of the esports industry, this is a good thing.

    Yes, League of Legends is now considered an official sport, and they can now get athlete's Visa's.

    They have to have them.. Well, for the All-Star tournament, because they were in Bejing.. last season it was a little different... TSM had to get travel Visa's which were a lot tougher, but Riot, and Blizzard especially have made Competitive eSports a big thing..

    I've seen videos of World Championships with hundreds of players in the same room.
    I think people have been pro gaming since the first mutliplayer games in color existed, there numbers just keeps increasing.

    Some of those games were played so often there are still people playing it (UT anyone?).

    Also, this thread is currently located under PS2 main. Could it be moved to a more generic section?
