What is nonsense? What is griefing?

Classic....well played Sheets!! Saying you "sucked in the AA tank" overall is not bad, but to "debate" it...well...is just nonsense. Air Raiders take is, if you are making the game lame for others then go find another server...period.

 

I dont want to create shit but really and admin can kick without warning and you are ok with that on your server? I have admin'd servers for the past 8 years on all BF games and that is one of the quickest ways to lose players that have been on your server or come to your server. A warning is always needed and you as admin should make sure that they see it and not just kick or ban without letting someone know why.

Also the disrespect of saying your score caches, so if I get kicked for something I should not play until that round is over is that what you are telling players? I should sit idle until your server is done playing that match before I can play again? Again not starting anything here but man you need some compassion when running a server some people are legit and slip up sometimes. I understand that the masses are dicks and assholes but just because someone does not want to come to the forums with there user name does not mean they are out for anything right away. I never sign up for a forum with a real game name until I know the clan or server admins.

We all get mad from time to time about other players and we type things because hey they are not here what are they going to do right. Is that ok, no not all the time but it should slide if it is something like "hey man get out of the fucking AA you suck balls" "or move the AA up you cant hit shit from there". If there was an in game Voip we wouldn't have this issue either.

I don't know that there is a protocol per se for kicking, but I've never seen anyone get kicked without warning (except for using the words mentioned above)

Example:

We were on Sharqi, two guys got shot out of our attack heli and it was sitting on the street next to C. I run over, jump in, and get shot out of it by the guy who was driving it who respawned at C. He was told not to do it again, and he said something like "I can't make any promises." He was then kicked even though he wasn't actually warned. I think everyone can agree that qualifies as "nonsense."

 

Hey man, nice info. I like reading through peoples responses to this thread in particular. I think when we refer to cached scoring we're just trying to let people know that if they get kicked (auto or manually) they may want to wait for the round to end so they can cash out those points. If they don't care then they can come right in. Some situations call for automatic kicking by the server (racism, excessive tk'ing, etc.), but when we manually kick someone, yeah we warn them.

Certain words will get you kicked without a warning and frankly if people are saying those words, then I personally don't want them back in our server anyway.

I put a lot of time into the governance and standards that help run NNG so I do take administrating our servers very seriously. I only appoint them best admins who I consider to be trust worthy friends of mine. They each sign a Server Administration document agreeing to withhold all of the rules that I put forth, and it's a pretty lengthy list.

I wasn't in the server for this particular matter so I can't speak to exactly what went down, but I'll give my admins the benefit of the doubt. No one should have to warn anyone not to be a tool, ever. Not in our server. If someone doesn't like that then they can go pound sand /yay

 

Cool I like to see good server I just hate when one Admin destroys it. It is a good practice to do warnings always or at least post up big what the server rules are. I understand the racism, and tking as a insta kick but i cannot say I really like the ban idea even if it is for a period of time, 72 hours is a long time for a slip up if you know what I mean, sometimes I play when I drink and things slip out usually not the N word but *** or ****** does come out because where I am from it is the same as calling someone a pussy. I wouldn't ever ask an admin to change his views or ways, I only inform you that I have seen servers go down for simple things like this and bad admin.

You will see me on your server and I uphold your rules to my best ability you may see *** or ****** come out of me from time to time if I am really upset which is usually not that often unless there is a hacker on the server and no admins. Good day to you sir and may those that are hackers/tkers/and just plain dueshes go pound sand.

We almost always unban people if they come here and dispute the ban. Certain words, I just don't want to have used. It sort of filters out players who don't match the demographic we want also.
