    Is THAT why reflex sights feel so inaccurate? I was wondering if there was extra weapon bloom or something to make the reflex sights feel more "close quarters only" since you go from hip -> sight firing so fast with them. I'll have to test.

    Great job on the reviews. I'll contribute as soon as I get the chance. The tough part about weapon reviews right now is that they are being changed as we speak. We might want to re-make this thread after release, or after a semi-stable balance (whether that's release or a bit after).

    I'd like to see a review on the Magrider's weapons and the Lightening's anti Infantry gun (which I hope to be buying when i get the certs... I've seen videos of it shredding infantry like a paper shredder to an old credit card... but it may get nerfed).

    I'd like to see a review on the Magrider's strafe speed boost. The Mag's strafe is key to winning 1 on 1 tank battles. Front Armor and strafing will beat a Vangard 1 on 1 if you play it correctly and get a little luck.

    Thoughts:
    I won't lie, this gun is bad when you first buy it. Especially close-quarters.
    • The hip-fire is incredibly inaccurate
    • Laser sight is not available to compensate
    • Neither is Reflex scope
    • The 20-round clip means you can't afford to miss
    So basically you're going to be running around constantly using iron sights or the mid-range scopes. Right now I'm using this gun with Soft-Point Ammunition, Forward Grip, Compensator and 3.4X Laser scope.

    As a Light Assault, you want to get high vantage points where the enemy doesn't expect you, and zoom in for every shot. Half a clip should take out a moving target. A short burst to the back of the head will take out a stationary target. It means changing your playstyle a bit, because getting close enough to use C4 means you're dead if they see you, and going indoors to ninja cap? You might as well break out your pistol.

    As an Engineer, I recommend you use a different gun. You don't have the mobility to compensate for the small clip. And a short-range gun is a better complement to the ACE turret.

    It will be interesting to see how this gun works with anti-armor ammo, but for now only Soft-Point is available.

    UPDATE: The clip was changed to 30, and hip-fire accuracy was increased in the Amerish patch. Works a lot better on short range now, but still not the best imo.

    Just a note -- there were lots of changes to weapons in this patch. Much of this thread is now obsolete.
