Activated my Account since the upgrade needs a better upload, not bad though. People can still watch.

I'm so jelly. Something is wrong with my connection. Had a technician out for three hours yesterday. My upload speed is pretty consistently around .3Mbps - so no twitch for me right now.

Since it seems other Outfits are setting up streams for the outfit as a whole - I took the liberty, today, or starting a channel for NNG on twitch:

    http://www.twitch.tv/nononsensegamers

I'll admit, I'm not entirely clear how a shared stream where multiple people can be invited to broadcast works (first to start broadcasting is the feed shown? Will it cycle through feeds? Splitscreen?) - but I thought that it might be something we'd like to try.

I'm in the process of stealing our "About Us" page and trying to pretty it up by re-inserting the paragraph breaks that twitch ate - and I'll see if I'm smart enough to steal borrow our logos and whatnot as well.

If people are interested in helping use/test this, give me your e-mail address, and I'll invite you to the channel - you'll get the stream key e-mailed to you accordingly.

Unfortunately, this seems to mean you need to use a 3rd party broadcaster/streamer - as the in-game stream requires a username/password combo instead of the stream key.

Anyhow, since I see Quantum Dawn on Waterson has a stream (many of the people I know from the Gamers With Jobs community are playing over there) it sparked an idea I thought we could experiment with here.

If anyone is interested in being an "Editor" (combing through videos to pick choice highlights to feature on our page, and/or upload to YouTube) - if you follow the twitch feed, and leave me a note (here or on the NNG Twitch channel), I can work on making that happen too.

I had stunning idea that broadcasting OPS is a bad idea for many reasons. My ops yesterday people were sending me whispers on Enclave movements and orders via their twitch. While I ignored them, I couldn't ignore how useful it was.

I intended on broadcasting all our ops, but I do not even thing I am going to do even our daily ops. I'll have twitch tv for personal use.

Wolf their are programs you can buy to hide and show stuff, I am not going to pay money for stuff like that just. I would suggest you do something that covers your map and mute TS, even then they can still see armor configurations etc.

If you broadcast via PS2, I'm pretty sure that it only includes in-game audio (but comes with the drawback that, for some reason it doesn't then save on twitch).

Conversely if you use something like XSplit, I'm not entirely sure what audio it will or won't pull from the system (whether TS would get picked up or not).

Some apps further let you delay your broadcast (XSplit Pro, for example, will let you set up to a 5-minute offset, I believe). 3+ minutes is more than enough to ensure that the information being broadcast is "stale" by the time an audience sees it - but real-time enough to still be exciting.

Regardless, it certainly is a factor to be aware of, and something we'll need to keep in mind as we test this all out.
