Your rig isn't even six months old. I would look up all your parts and see if they have been night around the time of a bad batch. I know the 660 and 660 to had a bad group go out a few months ago and did a recall for them.

I had EXACTLY the same problem and am the one Sargent is talking about. It turns out I had two problems but the one that causes computer freezing after a few minutes of play was one stick of bad ram. I ran memory tests on it and it passed but the computer geek store said it was bad. I sent it off, the replacement came, and it happened again. They sent me another bad stick.

I had this EXACT same problem, found no HDD errors or Memory errors what caused mine:

My DVD Drive was failing. I noticed it only happened in windows (not when I booted into linux) and also noticed that for whatever reason it would lock up when my DVD drive went active, winders would for what ever reason activate my CD/DVD drive randomly even if there was nothing in it causing my computer to just completely lock up.

I disconnected the cable connecting it to the Mobo and haven't had a problem since. If you're not finding any HDD errors/over heating errors etc I'd definitely look into this.

Could a Bandwidth issue possibly be the culprit? I turned off my laptop today (used it to view Twitch while gaming, Jaamaw, FNO, Command Cender, MLG, and the lot) and there were Zero crash issues. Turned it on after 2 hours of game play (figuring my computer was fine) and about 10-20min after it being on BOOM lock up. I turned it off around 2:00 and had no issues for 4 hours. Longest, uninterrupted game session to date.

So I ask you: Could bandwidth issue be to blame?

No. Internet couldn't shut you computer off. However, you may have a deeply embedded virus that could guve access to a person on the other end to control your computer

Hmm... I would then assume it is the Laptop that would be infected? makes sense, as it's the one I would take to school with me everyday and log in through the schools WiFi...

But it couldn't be my desktop as it only happens when my laptop is on and next to me...

Maybe it's something in your router? Have you used a flash drive between both computers?

What programs and sites do you have in common with both of them?
