Guys seriously, it seems like a lot of you do not actually want to be a part of the NNG community, and just want to wear the tags in game.
I'll hop onto TeamSpeak and there will be maybe 1-2 people in the WT channels, then I log into the game and there's 13 or more people on-line.
Now I know team speak is not a requirement for War Thunder but by not joining team speak you show the officers and members that you really do not want to be part of our community, and when it come time to vote on applications, that is taken into consideration.
I enjoy flying alone sometimes, but I find it more fun flying with squad mates, and if TS gets too much, let an officer know or just say "guys, I'm logging, there's too much chatter going on". Believe me, it wont be held against you.
If you have any issues you can come to Nraged, Highlander, or myself.

    Totally agreed on all counts.
We're not desperate to get new members. We want new members, we value them but we only want people who want to be here.
Not being in TS at all times is totally acceptable but what's the point of being in a squadron if you don't want to communicate with other members.

I think we can actually add an important note to this. Some people don't have access to a mic at the moment, or may need to run silent to respect sleeping family/housemates, etc.
That's cool with us that are on comms. Still, having you on comms but not speaking means that we can identify and communicate with you. You may be limited to typing to us, but we can talk to you, and fly with you. Working as a group makes us a stronger community.

If a person doesn't have a mic, they can still type to the in-game Squadron channel. I check it for any messages every time I get out of a game. But the teamspeak does need more people. A few nights there've been five of us which means you have two squads with vacancies or one guy gets to play by himself throwing his ball against the wall.

Have teamspeak downloaded, on the channel but unfortunately not very familiar with it, but being able to have a causal conversation while knocking planes out of the sky is always fun so hopefully I can figure it out quickly.

Must've just missed you, I logged early last night.
Its been disheartening seeing the WT channels so empty the last week or so

There is a regular group of us on nightly around 7-11pm CST in RB. Many of us play both RB and AB. We're flexible if we see people on.

Just hang out in the lobby until someone decides to start a squad and even than, all sitting in the same channel is always more fun unless you're flying RB or SB.

SB is usually pretty lonely on TS.
