    The game itself would still cost money at release but with a package, you get it for a greatly discounted price and ship insurance. Without the package, you get the ship, just the ship, and nothing but the ship.

    Only the game packages will get you alpha/beta access.

    The single ships by themselves won't. (unless they have a + next to their name and actually all these ship packages you can buy because I'm pretty sure they're all game packages. Single ship purchases are on the left sidebar sorted by manufacturer)

    Pledge store on their website. Under the single ship packages section.

    I thought you'd have to get the package to definitely get in. But I thought I saw something about the steps to play and not sure if it said that you could get a ship as the minimum in one of the steps.

    Looks like I won't be getting this anytime soon.

    How would I know which ship to buy before even trying to fly it?

    I'm basing this on my WT experience only. If I want to buy a Premium plane lets say, I get to test fly it first.
    There are planes in WT that I love and there are ones that I wouldn't even look at knowing that they wont fit my flying style.
    I'm very picky about every little detail, starting with handling, turning, windows, rear view, cockpit, shooting and stuff like that.
    I usually spend about 20 min in Test flight every time I unlock a new plane.

    I'm pretty sure that there will be balancing issues as well. Its natural for any game. If they nerf the shit out of a plane that I already have, than what?


    Also, I've seen Kowlefe mention something about a ship insurance? WTF is that?
    Is this going to work kind of like in Eve where if you get shot down, you lose your ship and if its insured, they give you a Blue Book value so you can buy another?

    You get blown up, you dont pay for your ship to be repaired/replaced. Once it runs out, you have to pay out of pocket

    This game is not Crisis friendly. So until I get a good computer and feel like spending money on said computer I will keep up on the forums.

    What I want to know is, say if I loose my ship via flying into sun, can I then crew someone elses and raise the money to buy another one?
