I wont be able to play until I am able to upgrade my rig I can run the game but 5-10 fps in battle is not acceptable
I had to upgrade my rig - from the mobo up, and it was WELL worth it for PS2. I feel your pain, but it's well worth it.
I stole a bunch of stuff from Wraths old rig and give mine a slight upgrade and hopefully with the next few months with have the cash to throw down a brand new rig from the ground up.
My only regret, in my upgrade, is that I didn't spring for 680 GeForce chipset instead of a 660. Now that I've seen how nice PhysX looks, I wish I had it. :/ Still, between my 660 and my new i5 CPU - it's my CPU slowing my framerate down more than my GPU. And even then I'm pulling a smooth 40+fps on high settings.
I know the feeling I've tried every Tweak/hack/injection in the book jsut short of reformating my windows partition. I so envy the days I had 80+ FPS during tech/stress test pre AA 1st nerf.
I just upgraded to a 9500GT I'll test performance tonight. What i really think is holding me back is the duelcore phenom x2 511 thou. Unfortunatly the only option is a new mobo + cpu and thats $$$. But for now I will see if I can make due
