Congress is getting ready to END the internet as we know it. Help to put a STOP to the SOPA act NOW. Congress is being bought off to pass this bill. They do not care the effects it will have on the amazing ecosystem that is the internet. This is serious stuff here. We need to tell them to FUCK OFF with there stupid bills. This system obviously isnt working the way it should be. The PEOPLE should be making these bills not fucking CONGRESS. This is bullshit... Doesn't Obama have to sign the bill for it to take effect? I'm not very well versed in how congress works in the US but I remember reading that Obama won't sign it. Could be wild rumors. I have a feeling that even IF it gets passed the following shitstorm will be so enormous that they will have to take it back. /signed
Yeah he said he was going to veto the NDAA bill too. Didn't happen and now America is considered a battleground for our military and they can detain anyone without question indefinitely. Among a myriad of other BS in the bill. The United States of America are done. Gone. Non existent anymore. Its all just puppet states being controlled by banks and big business. Jesus. This is pretty old news. It made it past the house big deal, everything makes it past the house. Congress wont pass it either will Obama. The only thing keeping this whole thing relevant are people who post about it. Then people who haven't heard about it getting their nicker in a twist which recirculates it. I wouldn't worry about it.
You can't argued its continued relevance in the internet world when a service like Reddit chooses to go black for an entire day to protest SOPA. When ever I mention SOPA or the actual complete name of the bill around friends, peers, family, I get the C_C face. So I do believe that there is still a large amount who have no idea what the fuck it is or how it will affect them and their use of the internet in the future. And to be honest I think that's what its pushers and the House want. To slip another bill in under the radar and cease yet another freedom from the American population. And don't just stop at SOPA because that's not how the House, the Senate and every other yuppie infested branch of our government works. This bill is just a foot in the door which will give them the leverage they want to be able to ram other nonsensical bullshit down our throats in the future. Just in the name of money. And by that I mean, money in their pockets. I use a couple rules at work when a big change is coming up. 1: After the change is complete a customer should never ask you "what changed"? 2: Overcommunicate big changes! So D maybe from your perspective it's been communicated enough, but from mine I think it can use a little more nudging a pushing to get more face time. Be interested to see where this goes regardless.
I can see what your saying sheets. Honestly I never looked at it in that light. It is over communicated around here, everyone is up in arms. But SOPA having just lost some HUGE backers recently its really sinking the knife deeper that it wont make it past congress
