With everyone getting into smite and wanting to get better. A few recommendations on how to learn build, items, gods, and basically how to play Streams: There are a few streams to watch to get to know the game better (http://www.twitch.tv/smitegame) this is where they stream tournaments and things like patch notes, they rotate streamers and have some good people on there. 7-10PM EDT DMBrandon (http://www.twitch.tv/dmbrandon) my favorite streamer (vote for him in this contest http://intl.gg/ ). watch the stream in game and send him whispers, he'll usually answer any questions you have, just don't be rude mean or anything like that, he will not hesitate to block you and ban you from chat. a few competitive top tier players also stream. my two favorites are wolfy (http://www.twitch.tv/competitive_online) and Lazziz who is on weekday afternoons (http://www.twitch.tv/smitepro) and his channel (http://www.twitch.tv/lassiz). Builds: Items are tricky to understand with there being so many I recommend going to tiermonster.com and http://www.smitefire.com/ to find builds and guides for every god in the game. Just remember that builds are situational, aside from a few 3-4 core items your should change based on who you're fighting and who your against. for example as far as builds go: if him in solo lane w/ Chang'e and im fighting a physical dmg character I rush breastplate of valor but against a mage I'll build vampiric shroud in a regular start. Learning gods: What I did was basically watch streams and watch tournaments, unfortunately the qualifiers are over for and the only 5v5 tourney to watch is the LAN world championship in Atlanta that isn't until january. while you're waiting for that you can go to (http://www.twitch.tv/smitegame) from during DM's stream slot. he has tournaments on Wednesdays and Fridays I believe but could be wrong, Mortos can correct me . There are more tournaments coming up that aren't for the highest tier of player, can find our the next ones coming up here ( http://www.hirezstudios.com/esports) they are going to always be playing on the smitegame channel and if you see me on in TS during one of these tournaments I am more than likely watching so come watch with me .
