Requesting to be Unbanned.

Hello,

I was banned from your server a few weeks ago and I wish to be unbanned.

I was banned under the premise that I was hacking, and I assure you this is a false accusation.

You may ask, why do my stats look fishy etc etc. This is because I have played a lot more BF2 than BF3, in which, BF2 was a game that I would dare say to be significantly harder than BF3.

In BF3, my specialty is utilizing armored vehicles and to draw a comparison, a tank in BF3 can survive more than 4 rocket hits and sometimes more if the driver is using ERA, a tank in BF3 also has thermal sights, which make it a lot easier than BF2 where tanks would only survive 3 hits from a rocket, and had no thermal sights.

Given this information, it is not hard to imagine that if I was pretty good in a tank in BF2, I am even better in BF3.

Ah yes, I see your ban and see who you were banned by. Consider the ban lifted, and I hope to see you in the server soon.

 

Keep in mind, many who play BF3 also played BF2. I know first hand that being good in one dose not directly transfer to the other.

^^ shows a sharp increase in some stats since the start of Sept. not proof of hacking, but dose show that something in your game play has changed.

Not saying you should not be unbanned... just saying there will be eyes on you.

While the graphs may seem like a "sharp increase" that is mainly from my inactivity over the summer months where i barely played any BF3. If one were ignore that timeframe where I stopped playing, the graphs growth rate is not skewed.

This graph may prove to be more accurate.
KDR is also a "messy" statistic since it is more pliable when you are a new player, which resulted in a drop as the rounds started to average themselves out.

As with this graph, it displays my kill count over time, and the plateauing of this statistic proves my inactivity. Therefore, if you were to imagine this graph without the plateau's, the growth rate is more constant with my other statistics.

I tend to agree with "being good in one does not imply a successful transfer of skills" since, for example, I find that I cannot dogfight well in BF3 whereas in BF2, I was extremely good in aircraft (11.87 KDR in jets over a 500 hour period)

However, the realm of armored warfare has more to do with successful decision making in regards to strategic tank placement since any good tanker will still get his ass kicked if they choose to move into an area that is unsuitable for armored operations.

And from all games, strategic tank movement will always be the same, and the understanding of your enemies psychology (which is only gained over time) in determining their next move is also a skill that is a constant among all games.

I'm VERY interested to see the changes in KDR since AK came out. Being a gunship whore will seriously boost KDR, which used to be the first stat people looked at for suspicious folks.

This game is extremely well instrumented and if I had access to all the stats from just one server I'd probably lose days in Excel just seeing what interesting things could be found. I love numbers, I hate math.

 

In my experience most cheaters are used to getting banned from servers. What they then do is just find another server. They do this over and over and over.

So for someone to come in and dispute their ban isn't very characteristic of a person who cheats and relentlessly gets banned from every server they play on. To them we are just another server "they got into for a while".

Most of them have no attachment to any particular server so to come in and ask us to be allowed back in says quite a bit.

Sometimes you don't even have to factor stats in at all.

Im sorry i dont read every forum post but your stats look ridiculous. People were complaining in the server about you and for the good of the server population i removed you.
