    Read the opening post again.
    It's a suggestion and food for thought. The sole purpose of this thread is to iron things out.
    You on the other hand would be a perfect example of a great addition to our community and to the squadron who wouldn't qualify if we were to implement that rule which means that we would miss out on you.
    Do you understand?

    Our day time crew, the Aussie party has been MIA for about a week, I'm going to find out what's going on over the next couple of days, I hope they're ok. THAT WOULD BE YOU @Ferryman_ !!!

    I understand and agree that it would be a waste of talent :p

    My post was merely meant to show that it's really difficult to set any rule or boundary.

    @HIGHLANDER
    Sorry dude, totally missed (think selective hearing) your other post with the suggestion, I'll tell you why in TS.

    @Ajax
    Awesome suggestion and this is what I got from it.
    Let's say we were to have a lvl10 requirement and any new recruit would remain a recruit - no NNG tags in game or TS until they reach level 10 even if they put up an app and seem to fit the profile (not be an asshole). Still little rough around the edges but the idea is great IMO.

    Yup, and this is why we're working on it. You're more than welcome to contribute and you actually already have :)

    Recruitment is not easy and I would like to think of rules as guidelines. Nothing more.
    We got a rule to only accept players who are 21 and over and yet, one of our officers is 17 and happens to be a lot more intelligent than some of the 20 and 30 year olds.

    If someone puts up an application and makes it through with the right amount of votes, they are a member of NNG. That idea of not giving them what they have earned until they reach level 10 will not look good and it will negatively effect NNG as a whole.

    Why and how?

    It usually takes us a week or two to get to know a new recruit depending upon how active they are. If they're active enough, I think getting to level 10 in 2 weeks time should be easy enough?
    For those who are below level 10, we can extend trial from 1 to 2 weeks and even if they get to 8 or 9, it will show some dedication.

    30 minutes left on my daughter's acting class so this is a great way to kill some battery life on my phone :)

    This is what we can add to the application itself.

    - on a scale from 1-10, how active are looking to be in War Thunder?
    - are you looking to get your jets?
    - are you going to get involved in ground forces when they come out?
    - do you have a premium account?
    - have you purchased or looking to purchase any gift packs or premium planes, please list them if you already have.

    All these questions will give us an idea as to how committed this person is going to be.

    I only play simulator battles, and leveling is SLOW there... I just got 4 kills, busy with 5th when I ran out of ammo. That helps to get XP quickly, but if you average 1 kill/battle it's going to take a lot more than 2 weeks to get to level 10 (especially if you have a regular day job).

    Is your account Premium?

    Reason I'm asking is because my account has always been premium (not trying to brag) and I don't know how big of a difference it would make by not having it.
    I do want to take it into consideration if we were to decide to implement the pilot level requirement.
    Also, I don't know if 1.37 has made any impact on it.
    My pilot level is 70something and I personally don't feel that even at higher levels the grind is bad.
    Piece of advice, if you want to max out your gain in Sims, when your team is winning or about to win, kill a couple of ground targets like AAA or some landing craft. For some reason even 2 ground kills add a lot in some shape or form. It's just a feeling but it helps :)

    Simply because if a pilot is not the greatest, they may not be able to rank up that quickly. You kept saying level 20 was easy to get to in a week and now you are saying level 10 is easy, if it is so easy why am I still at level 8 with 29 hours put into the game. Divide that 29 by 14 days to simulate the two weeks that you claim and that comes out to 2.05 hours a night and thats only at level 8.

    I'm sorry but NNG isn't about people grinding to meet a specification just to be a part of us, it is about a group of gamers who are looking for a place to call home where there are friends to play with, no bullshit rules and no real hoops to jump through and to be blunt, that idea you have of restricting someone from getting their tags after they have passed the community vote is that, bullshit. Just think if any of the other divisions had some sort of limit before someone could join NNG, NNG would not exist AT ALL.

    Ghost founded NNG with the mentality of fun, not dedication to the game, not skill in a game, not even what equipment they have and by equipment for this I mean planes. All you have to do is be mature and not be a prick. This idea that you have goes against everything NNG was originally founded for.
