I used to really love this game, and have put a few years (off & on) into it. When I was in the ESO closed beta, I found myself comparing the game to L2, and found it lacking. But it also got me thinking of how much fun I had playing these sorts of games, and how I've yet to find a good replacement for L2. So, I decided to give L2 another go. I've always played the game on privet, free to play servers in the past. But I came to find that the official servers are now free to play. So I decided to play official for the first time. Now, the game has changed ALOT since the days I used to be in it. In it's current state, it's less then 1/3 of the beast it used to be. I believe they have scooped a large part of the game out in recent updates because of the dwindling player base, to save on server costs. Even though I used to really like the old form of the game, I have been ok with the newer, more streamlined version. I dont really know how long I'll be playing it this time around, and I dont really plan on promoting NNG in it. But in the thread where I said I was stepping down from the role of WT leader, I said I'd be playing L2, and if anyone wanted to check it out, to PM me. Well, I've gotten a few PMs, so I thought I should make this thread. If you choose to check the game out (it's too bad you couldn't have seen it back in it's heyday), you set your account up @ http://www.lineage2.com/en/ . When you log in, there will be a choice of servers to choose from. I'm on the one called Bartz. The game forbids you from using the chat functions until you real level 20, but this should take no more then 30 mins to an hour to reach. I'm guessing they did this to cut down on the advertizing bots. Once you reach this, feel free to try to get ahold of me in game and I can try to show you the ropes. I have several toons started, and it's hard to tell what one I'll be on at any given moment. But my main is Cantrel. But I may also be on Sweepz, Lucidity, Ornisis, or Linchpinn. To PM, you would type "username space text. It dont let you put alot of text in at one time, so if you have alot to say, break it into segments. For example, to see if I'm online you'd type "Cantrel heya dude, this game rules your mother!. Then you hit enter. To send more after that, all you have to do is hit " and it will bring up the name of the last person that has PM'd. At this time, I dont really plan taking anything too seriously. Most likely wont be spending anymore time on TS then I have been these last few weeks. But if any of you do decide to give the game a try, I'm more then willing to give you a hand.
