In Game Titles

There is an option in game to have a title placed in front of your name. For VS Lictor is the only one I can remember right now. There is Aspirant or something also I believe. I just wanted to state my opinion that I hate this option. When you're in the heat of battle and trying to say something to a squad member that may be walking into a trap, you're trying to heal, repair, or whatever it can be hard to see their actual name in game due to the font size and movement on screen. Having that title in front of your name makes it all the harder. If several people have the same title there are times all you can see are five Lictors running in front of you because of name overlap.

 

Not sure I've noticed it being in the way too badly. If it's bugging a large number of people I wonder if they'd be receptive to changing the word order to something more like, "Khamles, aspirant", so you can more quickly see who the heck you're talking to.

 

I must've called 10-15 people "Hey Lictor" on my first day of PS2.

Rather embarrassing

 

Just imagine launch day when many people of all three factions are running around with "FOUNDER" over their head. :-D

 

I have a super hard time inviting people to the platoon because I cant read their names for example I4ML363ND.

 

I tried inviting a guy by the name of lololololololollloollloo111llolol or something like that and just told him in Proximity that he fails and g/l on future invites

 

My name makes it slightly hard to invite me, unless you know me and have added me before.

And the titles thing makes people feel so speshul. I loved being Disciple iPaladini

Might be something to suggest to NNG members though to maybe not use titles.. that or someone's just gonna have to get used to it

 

You can invite people to squad using the spot radial menu, I believe. Of course, that means you have to see them.

Also - paladin, now that I know those are "i"s around your name. TMBG fan?

 

I enjoy the titles in game, but the devs do need to do something about the length of the name above the char.

 

Maybe if I knew what TMBG is. Teenage Mutant.... wait that's not it is it.. /bag

And I think a solution after reading Jaamawz post to the title name is simple, stacking your title above/below your name, instead of in front of it on the same line.

EDIT: Googled TMBG. They might be Giants? Some of their songs ring bells in mah head. Can't say i've went out of my way to listen to them though.
