So in the process of installing my Avermedia HD (c985) the audio on my computer has stopped working almost completely. I can still get audio out of my TV speakers which serves as my 2nd monitor so I know that the onboard sound card isn't fried.
To start off here are my system specs:
    i7-3820
    8gb ram
    Nvidia Geforce 660 GTX TI
    Windows 7
    1st monitor 22" Dell
    2nd monitor 32" Sony TV

When I go into sound options my default option (High Definition Audio Device) is completely greyed out now with a litlte red arrow pointing down not allowing me to enable it or set it to default. So neither my front or rear 3.5mm jacks work anymore.
I checked the HD audio connections on my motherboard but they are fine and wouldn't affect the rear audio jacks anyways.
I also uninstalled all my audio drivers and reinstalled and nothing.
I even did a system restore to a few days ago and it is still not working.

I think Nvidia has somehow changed all of my audio to HDMI? Because in my sound settings I see 4 new options I have never seen before called "Nvidia HDMI Output(Port1)" and then port 2 and 3.

    Does anyone have suggestions?

I went and bought a sound card today and it seems to be working now.
