Hi guys, just been to see Fury, quite enjoyed it and wondered what everyone else thought? I found myself trying to test my historical knowledge....I did poorly, a shame the American tank line didn't come out on WT before I went to see it lol I did however find myself thinking "What are you doing charging straight at a Tiger", and when they see the massive wave of allied aircraft in the sky and only 5 enemy aircraft against them, "Yeah but the allies are probably mostly bombers with some escorts where as the Germans by this point in the war are probably ME262's" lol. I really enjoyed the film though
I thought it was pretty good for a war movie. Lots of expected Bible quotes and manly banter, but it had some soft parts in there as well. Some of killings hit me, such as when the old man was murdered on the street for giving up German positions and when the new guy (Forget his name LOL SORRY) is forced to execute the German soldier. I actually liked how they portrayed the Sherman in the way it was used against Heavy tanks such as the Tiger, where they were forced to use numbers and speed to get into the only area they could penetrate it's armor, it's rear. Overall enjoyable war movie that I recommend for any WWII buff to at least try.
