I found I had a hard time, a very hard time with the following....
I had a lot of trouble telling the difference between NC and Vanu factions.. the blues and purples and all the camos all looked alike, unless they had a red or blue Dorito over them, I had a tough time seeing.
Everything seemed dark, even with my brightness all the way up.
Couldn't see shit through all the damned smoke.
Gameplay was smooth, I had to take it off Ultra and play on High (was having a little bit of choppiness, not bad but enough to be annoying). The special effects were incredible, it looks like a whole new game, from low to high, it is a whole new world.

Also if anyone wants my old Radeon 5750HD for like 15-20$ let me know, it ran awesome on low and good on Medium. couldn't handle high or Ultra.
For War Thunder I kept it on high and had no issues at all.

I turned shadows off, how do you manage with the color differential? I struggled mightly trying to see the difference. Vanu and NC all looked the same, at least the TR red I could see the difference, but damn once someone wears a camo that looks like ours, Im done for

Maybe Im just getting old, but to me the Vanu purple and the NC blue look a lot alike too much alike especially in close quarters with everything going on its tough to see a difference, I end up shooting friendlies when I think they are enemies and not shooting enemies when I think they are friendlies. Of course if the Dorito system worked properly I wouldn't have this issue but yeah, were all still beta testing I guess

They do. I don't really tell by color anymore with all the camo that looks like the other so I use the blocky armor to tell. I'd chock it up to our age difference that allows me to react faster, no offense. :D

I wholeheartedly endorse Jaam's CPU recommendation, but I have to disagree with a GTX 660. For $25 more you can get a Radeon 7870 XT (which performs on par with a GTX 660 ti), and 2 free games from the never settle bundle offer.

If you get the 7870 make SURE it is the XT version (Tahiti core). The regular 7870s run worse than a regular GTX 660.

That the current offer, and he is getting his stuff in December. Plus GTX cards come with the Batmans and nothing beats the Batmans.

Besides, his budget is under $200
