Right now my pc consists of:
    Mobo; Gigabyte GA-970a-UD3
    CPU: fx6300
    GPU: EVGA GTX 660

I mainly just want a new motherboard.. this one doesn't have the second pcie lane running at full 16 lanes.or even 8 for that matter...In short I need advice.

I was looking at the ASRock Extreme3

I was also looking at the Asus Sabertooth

    Hey dude,
I was "this close" to buying the asrock, but I got a better deal on a worse board (mATX). HA! But seriously, the asrock will have everything you need. Sabertooth boards are amazing, but they are at the extreme end of boards. They are really designed for people who are going for an all out crazy beast of a machine, and that's why their price tag is so high. You truly get what you pay for when it comes to pc parts.
You will have made a good choice if you go with the asrock.
It has every feature you will need until your next upgrade. Multiple types of RAM support (also 4 slots), SATA 6.0gb ports (side-facing is awesome too, no bent cables), optical output for receiver setup (big surround sound), 8-pin board power (enough to power anything), 4 onboard fan hookups (that's rare), USB 3.0, and lastly UEFI support.
It really does have everything you'll need.
    Good luck!

Bit of a price jump, but he's not wrong. That board is nuts! BUT just remember what specifications you are really desiring in the board.
But seriously, that board is freakin crazy awesome.
