So since the summer sale is here I thought it would be start a thread for people to put some non super popular games recommendations out. Pickles stuff: Cave Story Great story for a game that seems a bit dated, also easy to pick up and has a great soundtrack. Mount and blade Warband You get to run around with an army behind you and slash down peasants. Then you get to slowly take over the world and beat up the kings who talked down to you earlier in the game. Dust: An Elysian Tale Colorful side scrolling hack and slash with a great story. Metro 2033 + Last Light You get to crawl around in sewers and shoot mutants/nazis/communists in a post apocalyptic Moscow. You can also sneak around. The story is amazing and worth replaying to to try and find the other ending. Orcs Must die Kinda like a tower defense mixed with 3rd person shooter where you get to watch wave after wave of orcs die to traps. Warhammer 40k Space Marine 3rd person shooter where you get to kill orcs with a chainsaw sword. Also space marines. Anyone else stuff to recommend?
Evoland: Journey through every era of RPGs Audiosurf: Listen to your awesome songs and dodge stuff on a track based on your music (seizure warning) Beat Hazard: Asteroids on steroids powered by your music (seizure warning) Game Dev Tycoon: Make your own game company and try not to run it into the ground Papers Please: Become a border agent and inspect peoples passports, try to make enough money to not die.
Just as an FYI. Cave Story was made by all one dude, it's available for free. I assume the paid version is a more deluxe version.
