Battlefield Premium. Cool or Wtf?

The heavily-rumoured Battlefield 3 Premium service will offer subscribers early access to all of the game's upcoming expansions.
Premium's one-off fee will cover the cost of all five upcoming Battlefield expansion packs, reputable fan site Battlefieldo reported - a similar model to Activision's Call of Duty Elite service.
Battlefield 3 Premium will include upcoming expansions Close Quarters (due 12th June), Armored Kill (due in autumn) and End Game (slated for launch this winter). An as-yet unannounced piece of "bonus content" is due in August, and a fifth and final expansion is allegedly on the way for March 2013.
New camos [sounds an awful lot like Camaros -Ed] and other exclusive in-game items will also be bundled into the service.
"First out is the one-of-a-kind Premium knife and black dog tag, plus a set of soldier camos, weapon camos, dog tags and Assignments that will make sure you stand out and get more personalisation options," a leaked description of the service previously revealed.

 

You mean we can actually pay hard cash to beta test their stuff? lol

 

I think I've given them enough money. I'm a Valve fan and have never felt like they were trying to get every penny I had like Dice does.

 

The way I see it, is if there is an economic enticement of a discount... say 20-25% for buying the premium as opposed to the DLC when it comes out, AND getting to play it earlier than the release, may tickle my fancy a bit... BUT of course there is always the discussion of price.

 

also, the premium which ya say offers pre release play may mean more damn headaches...

 

So now that some more info has leaked, I'll contribute. It looks very likely that BFP will be $60. (or whatever a new game costs in your respective currency)

To put it bluntly, thats fucked up. I bought the limited edition, and as a result, I'll be punished. No savings for DLC, only early access and some bullshit dog tags.

This is a move by EA to get people to buy these DLC's now, because 1. interest will have evaporated by the time the last one releases, and 2. we've seen nothing at this point.

I mean come on, Would anyone pre order a game without even seeing a teaser trailer? its bullshit.
